Welcome to the PROSECUW

Protection and Security for Places of Worship project. This innovative project, funded by the Internal Security Fund Police (ISFP) of the European Commission, aims to enhance protection at places of worship in European countries, by setting up cooperation between public authorities, religious leaders, civil society actors, and the local communities, by developing their capacity to counteract radicalization and hate-speech.

On the 20 and 21 March 2024, the organisations Center for Social Innovation - CSI, Coordinator of the Prosecuw- Protection and Security for Places of Worship project, and RESET-Research and Education in Social Empowerment and Transformation, partner of the project, offered a two-day tailored PROSECUW training to 20 Community Leaders of The Malta Police Force on the protection and security for places of worship. This PROSECUW exclusive capacity-building workshop covered the topics of protection of worship, inter-religious respect, community inclusion, and the importance of inter-sectoral collaboration through hubs to counteract radicalisation and hate speech. We would like to thank Inspector Mark Cremona and The Malta Police Force for the invitation, the trust and the hosting. Our cooperation with the MPF will continue through fruitful collaborations and partnerships for the empowerment and protection of our communities!
