CEMES, Centre of Ecumenical, Missiological and Environmental Studies “Metropolitan Panteleimon Papageorgiou”, is a non for profit research center that aims to provide scientific research services, studies, conferences and publications promoting and theologically establishing all the Εcumenical, Inter-Christian, and Inter-Faith Dialogues, keeping strong bonds in between other ecumenical Centres and Institutions, supporting missionary activities of the Church in the Ecumenical Movement and cultivating environmental consciousness. CEMES has organized very important scientific conferences concerning main contemporary questions such as gender issues, interfaith dialogue, ecumenical, Church and state relations, Economic and Refugee Crisis, environmental ethics, and recently webinars on the pandemic. It has published 36 books based on those issues. The Center runs also a remote online Master’s program in Orthodox Ecumenical Theology which for the academic year 2020-2021 was hosted by the International Hellenic University (IHU).
