Topic 2 Coordinating a hub

  • Each hub will have a coordinator that will be chosen by the plenary of hub members, annually.
  • The coordinator will be responsible for communication with all hub members, and to schedule the monthly plenary meetings.
  • Communication between hubs in different countries shall preferably been conducted by the hub’s coordinators.
  • The coordinator may choose a team to support the organisational work.
  • A fast response system shall be organised in order to give urgent/immediate support in case of threat to the security of a place of worship or a religious community..
  • The leaders of the hub must clearly communicate the purpose and goals of the hub to their team.
  • Having a clear vision of what a leader wants to achieve, as well as passion and motivation, will help them share their purpose and gain support for their goal. As leaders, they also need to be mindful of the community they want to serve, what benefits they will offer, and what environment they will create to deliver them.
  • As leaders, they need to maintain a clear goal for their hub so that they can stay focused and communicate this clearly with their team and wider network.
  • Vision statement describes what the hub aspires to and the change leaders want to achieve. Stating their vision allows them to look forward and consider what success looks like.
  • Vision exemple: ‘PROSECUW Hub is the netwrok of goodwill people that gather together and cooperate to prevent violence against religious communities and worship places’.
