This activity:
The participants are divided in pairs. There are 3 different conditions (each pair select whichever they prefer):
Condition 1
Imagine that you are living in a highly religious country where the dominant religion is Christianity.
How would these people interact with each other? Interpret it through role play.
Condition 2
Imagine that you are living in a highly religious country where the dominant religion is Islam.
Share your experiences with each other on how the Muslim majority members treat you or/and whether you have been victims of any form of religion-based verbal or physical abuse
Condition 3
Imagine that you are living in a highly religious country where the dominant religion is Judaism.
There are money missing from the cashier and the Jew suspects the Muslim and asks some question. Interpret this interaction.
After all the participants go through the role-play, they are asked to answer the 3 following questions
1.How would you describe the personality you interpreted?
2.Why did you decide to interpret your interaction the way you did?
3.Do you think the way you interpreted the interaction represents your society? Have you ever witnessed or been victim of such behaviours?
After answering the questions, the participants will be asked to recreate their role plays by improving their characters and making them as they should be: respectful, tolerant, polite and non-discriminative.
In this part, the participants are asked to share their emotions and thoughts after the whole procedure
The participants are highly encouraged to share their feedback for other role plays they witnessed during the activity and discuss together.
The discussion will be monitored, and everyone will take the opportunity to speak.
